i wanted to be a writer since high school but my mother wanted me to be a nurse for the same reason as other parents. they wanted me to work abroad. but hey I can still dream, can't I? so i'm starting a blog and all my literary talents would be posted here. i really hope that this would work as my outlet for all the exhausting things i do in the hospital. but here goes nothing!
Hi! My name is Florangel Alguir Villanueva...you can pronounce my name as Flo-rain-gel...and i hate it if people don't say it right. I'm a registered nurse here in the Philippines since last 2011, i also graduated from college that same year! i'm 23 years old...and i want to get married soon.
I had dyslexia when i was a kid and i got frustrated in reading and some of my spelling sucks. i had to repeat my studies on the sixth grade cause i can't reads as much words that i had to. and on the fourth grade i can't even spell vegetable. yup it sucked to be me as a kid. but my mentor, Elizabeth Olano--my teacher in english never lost hope in me. she made me read and write words that are foreign to me...that's when i started getting addicted to reading. in the seventh grade i started reading a book a week, then it came to reading a book every three days. after which i started creating my own stories and comic books. i became active in our school news paper being the news editor, but i really wanted the feature editor spot.
but high school ended and my Mom wanted me to be nurse, I became a nurse as promised. and i am now working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I take care of babies. they are cute but they cry a lot. and the rest is history so far...
